Exam March 7, 2012

In the test we had last week, I think that the hardest question that I encountered in the test were the ones were you needed to shade the graph. I think that this was hard, because I usually have problems with it, because Im never sure to which side I need to shade the graph, and which line I have to draw. Maybe I can do this better next time, if I study the graphs better, or maybe if I get a trick with the inequalities, thats going to help me get them next time.

The rest of the test was really easy for me, because I had understood all of the topics in class.

Reflection 1

September 26, 2011

In this last couple of weeks we learned the first unit in Algebra 2, these were sort of review points from algebra 1. A common mistake I had was the graphing in inequalities, this was hard for me, because I didn’t remember if you had to flip the sign or not, so I got very confused, and in ones I did it, but in other ones I just left them there to see if I could solve them later, and then I forgot. I think that, that was one of the major mistakes. From the test the other question that I got very wrong was the last one, that I really don’t know how you can solve it, I have the idea, but I’m not sure how you can solve it, so I hope if I can ask someone the question that they can explain it to me. Reviewing my test there really wasn’t anything else I really had trouble with, except the fact that sometimes it is hard for me to remember things, because I was so used to having my notes all the time in math class and in the test, so I guess it will take time to get used to the idea of not having the notes for the test. I think that I can avoid having these mistakes again and ensuring that I will be successful in math, by practicing a little everyday with the sources Ms. Rosanna leaves for us in the web page, like the binder and Khan Academy or even 10 marks.
